Giving Means "Greater" for You
Why Should You Give?
When we give our 10%- God does more with the 90%. W
Giving reflects our faith in God and love for others. At Greater Growth Fellowship Church, we believe financial decisions are acts of faith, stemming from worship and the understanding that everything we have belongs to God.
In the Old Testament, believers gave a tithe, the first 10% of their income, as an act of devotion. The New Testament encourages giving based on one's ability, urging believers to go beyond tithing and give sacrificially. God increases our resources so we can be more generous.
As 2 Corinthians 8:7 says, "Excel in the grace of giving, just as you do in faith, speech, knowledge, and love."
Your Giving Changes your Life
and the Lives of Others
The Bible reminds us in Acts 20:35 that it's more rewarding to give than to receive.
It teaches us to help others, as Jesus showed us through His example.
Another verse on giving is Proverbs 11:25: "A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed."
This verse emphasizes that kindness and generosity bring blessings back to the giver.
